Today's post will continue the trend that my past entries have set and look at a fundamental aspect of Freemasonry in an attempt to illuminate the topic somewhat. Particularly, I am interested in using this blog to explore the relevance that the Masonic tradition can have in the modern world. So, without further ado, let us take a look at that which lies at the very core of Freemasonry - initiation.

A Daily Advancement in Masonic Knowledge

One of the most used statements that one hears as a Freemason is that we are required to make a 'daily advancement in Masonic knowledge'. This, amongst many other things, could be seen to be one of the primary duties that a Freemason has made an obligation to adhere to.
